HYDROVA RUDDER FIN ADAPTER

The Hydrova Rudder Fin Adapter is designed for kayaks with existing rudder steering systems, giving you an easy way to add Hydrova YAK-1 electric propulsion while keeping your original kayak steering controls.

COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with many kayaks that use a rudder steering system, including selected models from:

• Old Town PDL Series
• Reel Yaks Two-Piece Kayaks
• Pelican Kayaks with Rudder Systems
• Other compatible kayaks using a standard M10 rudder mounting hole

Simple Compatibility Check:
If your kayak has a factory rudder steering system and uses an M10 rudder mounting hole, there is a good chance the Hydrova Rudder Fin Adapter will be compatible.

OLD TOWN INSTALLATION NOTE

Some Old Town PDL models require removal of the original rear rudder bracket and installation of a Hydrova-compatible replacement bracket.

Please let us know when ordering if you are using an Old Town kayak and require the additional mounting bracket.

STEERING OPTIONS

The adapter can work with your kayak’s existing hand-operated rudder steering system.

At higher speeds, manual hand steering may require more effort. For improved control and a more comfortable hands-free setup, Hydrova also offers an optional Foot Steering Installation Kit.

Kayak designs and rudder systems may vary by model and year. Please confirm your rudder pin diameter, mounting clearance, and steering configuration before ordering.
