Hydrova was founded by a group of hardware engineers in university who shared the same passion: fishing.

What started as a personal interest quickly became a bigger idea. As anglers, we saw a clear problem: traditional gas-powered motors were noisy, required fuel and maintenance, and were increasingly restricted on quiet lakes and environmentally sensitive waterways.

As engineers, we saw an opportunity.

We began developing compact electric propulsion systems designed specifically for kayaks and small boats — products that are quieter, cleaner, easier to transport, and simpler to use.

Our early prototypes were built and tested in a university laboratory, then taken directly to the water for real-world testing and improvement.

Today, Hydrova is focused on the future of small-watercraft propulsion. Our mission is to make electric propulsion more accessible, adaptable, intelligent, and practical for everyday anglers and recreational boaters.

Our vision is to combine lightweight electric power, smart control, and flexible mounting systems into products that make time on the water simpler and more enjoyable.
