If Hydrova confirms that a defect is covered under warranty, Hydrova may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective product or component;
  • Replace the defective product or component with the same or a comparable product;
  • Provide a refurbished replacement where appropriate; or
  • Provide another remedy considered appropriate by Hydrova.

Replacement products or components may be new or refurbished.

A repaired or replacement product will generally remain covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days from the date of replacement, whichever is longer.

Commercial and Rental Use

Hydrova products are designed and warranted primarily for recreational consumer use.

Products used in commercial operations, rental fleets, tour businesses, guide services, instructional programs, research programs, or other revenue-generating activities may not be covered under this Limited Warranty unless Hydrova has provided written authorization.

External Causes

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Fire;
  • Flood;
  • Lightning;
  • Severe weather;
  • Freezing conditions;
  • Transportation damage;
  • Improper packaging;
  • Improper storage;
  • Excessive saltwater corrosion caused by inadequate cleaning or maintenance;
  • Acts of nature; or
  • Other circumstances outside Hydrova’s reasonable control.

Battery-Specific Warranty Information

Lithium battery performance naturally decreases over time and through repeated charging and discharging cycles.

Hydrova’s battery warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship but does not cover normal capacity reduction caused by ordinary battery aging and usage.

Battery warranty coverage does not include damage resulting from:

  • Improper charging;
  • Use of an unauthorized charger;
  • Over-discharge;
  • Improper storage;
  • Water intrusion caused by misuse or damage;
  • Puncture or impact damage;
  • Short circuits;
  • Unauthorized modification or opening of the battery enclosure;
  • Exposure to excessive heat;
  • Failure to follow battery safety instructions; or
  • Physical damage to battery terminals, connectors, cables, or housing.

Normal reduction in runtime or battery capacity over time is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Saltwater Use

Certain Hydrova products may be used in saltwater where specifically permitted by the product specifications.

After saltwater use, customers are responsible for properly rinsing and maintaining the motor, propeller, shaft, mounting system, and exposed hardware with fresh water.

Excessive corrosion resulting from failure to clean, rinse, maintain, or store the product properly is not covered by this Limited Warranty.

Propeller and Impact Damage

Propellers and lower motor components operate in environments where contact with rocks, debris, fishing line, vegetation, docks, sand, or other underwater objects may occur.

Physical damage caused by impact or obstruction is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Hydrova may offer replacement components or repair services for impact-related damage at the customer’s expense.

GPS, Remote Steering, and Electronic Systems

For Hydrova products equipped with GPS position hold, remote steering, wireless control, or other electronic features, warranty coverage applies to manufacturing defects affecting those systems during normal use.

GPS performance may be affected by environmental conditions, satellite availability, obstructions, electrical interference, weather, installation location, and other factors outside Hydrova’s control.

Temporary loss of GPS accuracy, wireless connection, signal availability, or positioning performance caused by external conditions does not necessarily indicate a product defect.

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, contact Hydrova Support.

Please provide:

  • Your full name and contact information;

  • Product model;
  • Serial number, if applicable;
  • Date and place of purchase;

Hydrova may ask the customer to complete troubleshooting or diagnostic procedures before authorizing a return.

Hydrova reserves the right to inspect, test, and diagnose any product submitted for warranty evaluation before approving repair, replacement, or other warranty service.

Return Authorization Required

Customers must contact Hydrova and receive return authorization before sending any product back for warranty service.

Products returned without prior authorization may be refused or returned to the sender.

Because lithium batteries are subject to transportation regulations, customers must not return damaged, swollen, punctured, leaking, submerged, overheated, or defective lithium batteries without first receiving shipping instructions from Hydrova.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law:

  • Customers are generally responsible for shipping the product to Hydrova or an authorized service location for warranty evaluation.
  • Hydrova will determine the appropriate repair or replacement solution after inspection.
  • Hydrova may cover return shipping for approved warranty claims at its discretion.
  • Customers are responsible for securely packaging products for transportation.

Damage occurring during return transportation because of inadequate packaging may not be covered under warranty.

Replacement Products and Components

Hydrova may replace a defective product or component with a new, refurbished, functionally equivalent, or updated product or component.

Replacement parts or products may differ slightly in appearance, design, firmware, materials, or specifications from the original product due to ongoing product improvements.

Hydrova reserves the right to improve or modify product designs without being required to install those improvements on products previously manufactured or sold.

Warranty Inspection

Submission of a warranty claim does not automatically guarantee warranty approval.

Hydrova may inspect the product for:

  • Physical damage;
  • Impact marks;
  • Water intrusion;
  • Corrosion;
  • Electrical damage;
  • Improper installation;
  • Unauthorized modifications;
  • Improper battery use;
  • Missing components;
  • Serial-number damage or removal; or
  • Other evidence relevant to determining the cause of failure.

Hydrova will determine whether the issue is consistent with a manufacturing defect or another cause based on the available evidence and product inspection.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hydrova shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from the use or inability to use a Hydrova product.

This may include, without limitation:

  • Loss of use;
  • Loss of fishing time;
  • Loss of recreational time;
  • Loss of profits or business opportunities;
  • Towing or transportation expenses;
  • Damage to other equipment; or
  • Other consequential losses.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hydrova’s total liability under this Limited Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the affected product.

Nothing in this Limited Warranty excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Consumer Rights

This Limited Warranty is provided in addition to any rights available under applicable consumer protection laws.

Where local law provides mandatory rights or remedies for defective, faulty, or non-conforming goods, those rights remain available and will prevail over any inconsistent provision of this Limited Warranty.
